FiNDiT1: The business
FREDERICK, MD — It’s no secret that gyms and fitness centers can be intimidating, especially for those looking to establish a simple exercise routine without bodybuilding, powerlifting or Crossfitting. However, Ballenger Creek’s Anytime Fitness is different — it’s a community-focused gym that caters to the average person seeking to start a healthier routine. Want to learn more about Ballenger Creek’s Anytime Fitness? Keep reading and stay tuned for more this week, including a membership giveaway you can’t miss!
Why choose Anytime Fitness in Ballenger Creek?
This 5,000 square-foot gym, centrally located on Ballenger Creek Pike, not only offers quality gym equipment for those who want to exercise on their own terms, but it also focuses on small group training, personal coaching and weight loss management programs to help members achieve their fitness goals.
“We’re a coaching gym,” said Brian Ricketts, owner of the Ballenger Creek and Damascus Anytime Fitness locations. “We want to help you get results, so we’re going to give you as much help as you want us to give you. But it’s also more of a community feel. You know people by name; it’s not like a big club with thousands of people. We know people and there’s a great club culture.”
Ricketts says that the average person who comes to this Anytime Fitness is "about 45 years old and wants to lose a little weight and get back into shape.” However, anyone 18 and older is allowed to join. Younger teens are welcome to join as well, but at least one of their parents must also be a member.
Each month, Anytime Fitness offers a new member challenge, such as trying to wall sit for the longest amount of time, doing the most burpees in a minute or putting the most miles on the treadmill in a month.
Another perk to joining Anytime Fitness is its extended hours, which make it easier for those with non-traditional schedules to still complete their exercise routine. Also, members can use any location they prefer among the 4,000+ worldwide— there are five in Frederick County and three within Frederick.
“I think one of the benefits at Anytime Fitness is that it’s 24 hours” Ricketts said. “Whether someone works in law enforcement, fire and rescue, a restaurant employee, hospital worker, or any other job that has irregular hours, this is the gym for them.”
Anytime Fitness in Ballenger Creek also offers a membership discount to military, fire/rescue personnel, law enforcement and Frederick County and Montgomery County Public Schools employees.
