When I went gluten-free over a year ago due to a developed food allergy, I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to satisfy my aching sweet tooth and love for all things pastry. Luckily, there are a multitude of alternative baking ingredients that can be used to produce delectable breads and scrumptious cupcakes that are free of any gluten, dairy, or animal proteins that can aggravate an allergy. A Better Choice Bakery never uses food dyes nor do they bake with any GMO ingredients to produce their baked goods, making their products a no-brainer for a healthier treat. Items include sweet or savory breads, pizza crusts, cookies, brownies, cupcakes, and pies (…oh my!). Their store front resides in historic downtown Brunswick, where they also participate in the local farmers market which provides excellent locally grown produce for all who stop by.
